A quick trip to Wales

After a non-stop week working everyday, the boyfriend and I decided a little getaway was much needed. After my boyfriend found this lovely cottage on Airbnb; we got in the car,  set the sat nav and began our journey towards the Welsh Valleys. Our destination? Seemed like the middle of nowhere but was situated in Wye Valley.  As we drove the sun set and night came, which made finding our little retreat cottage incredibly difficult. Set deep in the valley, there were lots of twists and turns through what looked like a forest; and after doing a huge loop round we eventually reached our destination.

It definitely exceeded our expectations. Once inside there was a small but cosy kitchen, to the left was a lovely little living room fitted with a log fire.

Heading down the stairs, to left you come to the lovely bedroom, which can sleep 3 people (1 double and 1 single) and to the right is the greatest feature of the cottage. When you open the door to the bathroom it’s safe to say the shock overwhelms you. In an open plan room, the first thing you see is the jacuzzi tub, behind it the sauna for the perfect relaxation night.

The surrounding area is also as relaxing. Set deep in the valley surrounded by forest, there is plenty to see and many walks to be had.

For those that need a short break this place couldn’t be any better. It is peaceful, beautiful, and the hosts are incredibly accommodating. We will definitely be back.
